Albany Feb 26 The New York court of appeals granted a new trial to Charles Becker former lieutenant of the police who was sentenced to die for complicity in the Rosenthal murder Becker was convicted Oct 19 and held at Sing Sing Four fellow conspirators were sentenced to death. New York Feb 27 Becker seized a new trial order earlier in the week and was brought to the Tombs in New York City where he remains a convict.
