Naval Lieutenant United Pensne Murray of the aviation corps of the navy department was killed when his air machine dropped into the water yesterday afternoon near Pensacola Florida. The crash occurred as the craft fell from the sky and touched down in the water, ending the life of the officer and marking another tragedy in military aviation.

Seattle, Feb. 19. Mrs Frankie Byers a noted literary woman died at her home yesterday morning in this city. She was the mother of Earl I. M. Byers, the id boat operator, red electrician and gasoline.

The funeral of Mrs Alta M Auten widow of George M Amen who died suddenly of heart failure last Thursday was held Sunday at 2 oclock at the Arctic Brotherhood hall. Large turnout from town and district attended and followed the remains to the burial at Episcopal service read by AE Maltby with a sextette and piano accompaniment. Casket covered with floral designs and initial letter motifs. George M Auten and family express gratitude to Iditarod and neighbors for kindness. The Cockburn liquor case in Dikeman district court was dismissed.
