University Receives Federal Gift of Former 5th Army Building
The Federal Government donates the 0.77 acre former 5th Army Re serve center at 5020 S. Cornell to the University of Chicago. The brick two story building of 32,827 gross square feet will house the university printing department with 35 pieces of equipment. Alterations start immediately with full operation expected in six months.
