Daycare licensing reform eyed as Syler pushes mayoral action
Hyde Park advocates press Mayor Daley for extended powers and funding to revamp day care licensing. At a Loop YMCA meeting about 200 residents heard that Syler aims to establish a city wide planning office, a one stop licensing center, and faster funding by July 1972 while complaints grow over stringent, outdated codes hindering centers.
