Life’s work stolen from student’s basement lockers
Five years of research by Clif ford Adelman disappeared after thieves took two steel filing cabinets from a basement locker at 5427 Greenwood. Adelman offers a $500 reward for the return of his thesis papers with no questions or prosecutions. He now lives at 6926 S. Oglesby and can be reached with information.

Last Ditch Plea Over Trees in Jackson Park
Edward H. Palmer of the Hyde Park Kenwood Community Conference urged Mayor Daley to consider a one way street plan or stop lights to protect Jackson Park trees while traffic changes on Drive from 47th to List are made. Palmer invited the mayor and 100 residents to tour the park and advocate for more park space.
