Groundbreaking set for women's dorms near Hyde Park campus
The university plans a four story 516 bed women’s dormitory quadrangle with a central dining hall as part of a $32.7 million fundraising campaign designed by Eero Saarinen and Associates. Groundbreaking on June 14 will be led by Edward L. Ryerson. A land sale plan for Hyde Park redevelopment, approved by federal and state agencies, will go to the city council June 6 with bids to follow after a 60 day period.
