Defense fund formed to aid accused abortionists in Chicago
After seven women were charged with operating a low cost abortion clinic in South Shore and Hyde Park, nine groups formed an abortion defense fund. Police say the operation used a South Shore apartment as an improvised clinic with up to 15 patients daily and $100 per procedure.
