Youth Welfare work brings Chicago kids into daily chores
Sally and Chuck Livermore in Hyde Park Chicago foster weekly Saturday chores for neighborhood youths under the Youth Welfare Commission. A dozen boys wash cars for 50 cents, learning teamwork and responsibility while urban renewal and local institutions gain renewed vitality. Sally joins in as girls begin to participate.
