Public hearings set on Hyde Park high school site plan
Conservation Community Council will hold public hearings on Monday June 27 at 8 p.m. at St Pauls Church to discuss changes needed in the Hyde Park Kenwood Urban Renewal Plan to provide land for the Board of Education high school site at 50th and Blackstone.

Hyde Park Co operative votes to remove S and W products
At a special meeting the Hyde Park Co op board voted to remove S and W products from shelves during the National Farmworkers Association strike against DiGiorgio Corp. The move follows earlier tensions over a 1959 resolution and involves continued discussion of the 1959 rule and Fair Employment Practices Act implications. A fistfight erupted inside the store as pickets protested, but no arrests were made.
