Hyde Park Demonstration Project Wins Federal Grant
The Hyde Park Kenwood area will host a federal grant funded urban renewal demonstration under the National Housing Act of 1954. The Community Conservation Board and Hyde Park-Kenwood Community Conference will contribute 10075 dollars in supervisory services and test block by block citizen participation methods while addressing building codes and interracial outreach.

Reavis School Opens Monday In New 50th Street Building
Six hundred fifty pupils will begin the second semester on February 3 at a new Reavis School at 50th and Drexel. The facility serves kindergarten through sixth grade within the 47th to 52nd street, Cottage Grove to Ellis area and eases crowding at Shakespeare and Kozminski. About 168 Kozminski area students now at R A M Temple will join Reavis, with many Shakespeare half day pupils transferring.

Lawyer Rewards Honest Find After Pocket Secretary Stumble
Dolores Mirsky a 33 year old Loop secretary found a leather pocket secretary folder on an Illinois Central train at Randolph street containing 442 in new bills and a stamped name James H Turner. She alerted police and Turner an attorney at 109 N Dearborn retrieved his property and offered a reward.
