New Ministers Lead Community Christian Church in Chicago
The Community Christian Church announces a new ministerial team led by Reverend and Mrs. John B. Houck replacing Reverend Rod Yarling who resigns to finish his PhD at the University of Chicago. Dawn Houck will direct Christian education while John Houck focuses on worship and church development. Services remain at 11:00 Sundays in the South Commons Community Center. Rod and Betty Jo Yarling stay active in the congregation. Dawn Houck's background includes Japan birth, sociology and Christian Education study, missionary work in Brazil, and prior roles at St. Mark's Glen Ellyn and Rockefeller Chapel.
