Kenwood sit-in turns violent as police remove 22 students
Parents react quickly after a Kenwood High School sit-in ends in violence when the 21st District Tactical Unit drags 22 students from the hall to waiting paddy wagons. Immediate responses by parents, staff and administration ease tensions by day’s end. The incident began around 9 30 a m with a Black Students Union protest over the Kenwood Manifesto.

Credit union nears goal ahead of annual meeting
The Hyde Park Co op Federal Credit Union committee reports over 1.2 million dollars pledged toward a 1.5 million goal in six months.
