Educators oppose Willis as Chicago superintendent

Acting Building Commissioner Sidney D Smith reports 1964 permits for rehabilitation in Hyde Park Kenwood rose 0 2 percent from 1963 to 1964 totaling 3 696 140 compared with 2 459 931 in 1963. Since 1959 private residential rehab has risen over 1 036 percent, with total new construction up 3 percent and private residential permits up 10 percent from 1963 to 1964.
