Teachers split over Broyles oath in Chicago schools
One public school teacher, Mrs Sara Pickus, refused to sign the Broyles test oath while two others, Mrs Shirley Lens and Albert Soglin, signed after lengthy fights. Lens, a teacher of mentally handicapped children, argues the oath weakens America by forcing conformity. Lens will recover about $8,000 in back pay.
