Hyde Park faces crowded 55th Street buses and no new Express
The CTA has 200 new buses funded by a state grant but none will serve Hyde Park as Express lines. Officials say these are replacement buses and no Garfield Express expansion is planned, despite ridership concerns and a survey noting underutilized 55 Garfield service during peak hours.
