Judge Says Slum Owner Misled Him In Court
Municipal court Judge Cecil C. Smith said he toured the Park's deluxe ghost slum at 510105 Drexel calling it the worst he's ever seen. He accused owner Mae Atkins of mis leading testimony on June 27 and 28, hinting at possible perjury action. The city seeks 56 violations totaling 3100 in fines and set a 3500 bond for Atkins. Ten firemen were injured in a February 23 explosion earlier.
