County Convention Nominates Beardless Leaders at Fort Scott
The Reno County convention convened at the court house with Senator Frank Field as temporary chair and many officials named. Delegates nominated J A Beard and John A Myers by acclamation for county offices, while resolutions attacked imperialism and praised Bryan’s populist stance amid a partisan crowd.
