Trinity's Fifth Centenary Celebration at Huntley Church
Trinity Lutheran Church Huntley marks its fifth centennial observance on Sunday September 12 1971 designated Christian Education Sunday with 8 and 10 15 am services. Rev Martin W Baumgaertner guest speaker a retired Lt Col Military Chaplain recipient of Lt Martin of Tours Medal. He served twenty four years including Normandy Battle of the Bulge and Nazi occupation era. After retirement he directed Financial Aid at Valparaiso University and since 1970 has been associate pastor at Ascension Lutheran Church Charlotte NC. A pot luck luncheon follows the 10 15 am service with a program by congregation daughters and school leaders inviting area friends.
