SBA disaster office in Marengo to stay open weekly
The Small Business Administration announced the Marengo Disaster Office will remain open on Fridays from 8 AM to 8 PM starting the week of November 20. The office in Marengo Village Hall serves McHenry and Lake counties after the Sept 17 18 flooding and Fox River rise, offering low cost long term loans for homeowners tenants businesses churches and non profits.

School Board Meeting Minutes November 13 1972
The Board of Education of District 158 met at the High School at 7 45 p m with six members present and one absent. Actions included appointing Michelsen as president pro tem and approving minutes. transfers and appropriations were approved, including moving funds between Educational Imprest and Transportation, and authorizing anticipation warrants of 300000. The meeting also covered building ventilation review and approval of girls participation in Little Eight events.

Park District Sets Up Recreation Programs For Youth
The Huntley Park District in cooperation with the Huntley School Board transfers intramurals and adult classes from school to park district operation. Signups handled by the High School Office and Mr Glen Delaney. Programs begin December through March with graded youth groups and separate men and women sessions. Registration fees apply and schedules provided on first day. Also notes sweepstake winners in McHenry County Conservation District symbol contest to be announced the week of November 20.
