The Huntley Consolidated School Board met on Thursday November 14 1963 with all members present. Minutes were approved and fund transfers made. The old bus will be sold by closed bid. contact Tom Kelly. Repairs planned for the driveway and turnaround. gym painting and acoustical ceiling completed. Darryl Reeves replaces La Verne Jordi as janitor's assistant. The Slave Sale is set for November 29 at 8 p.m. with Howard Ruth as auctioneer. Committee for Agriculture Education report given by George Adams. officers named Alvin Hoffman chairman W Sherwin vice chairman Herb Heimseth secretary Emil Workowski treasurer. Adeline Kunde resignation accepted. Ernie Stading Jr appointed to finish her term. Current bills approved. future additions to the school discussed. Next meeting December 11 at 7 30 p.m.

Huntley FFA Slave Sale set for November 29 1963
The Huntley FFA Chapter plans its annual Slave Sale on November 29 1963 at 8:00 p.m. Thirty five members are to be auctioned to the highest bidder with half the proceeds funding a scholarship for agricultural study and the rest added to the chapter treasury. The event includes entertainment and homemade cakes after refreshments.

Huntley Consolidated Schools bands for grades 6 7 8 and Junior Chorus grades 7 8 present annual Winter Concert Friday November 22 1963 at 8 15 p m in the high gym with free admission The program opens with Carol of the Bells Good New Productions and I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day followed by a children song The Elephant and the Flea Carol of the Sheep Bells and ends with The Drunken Sailor attached continuation noted.

Woodstock Man Arrested For Reckless Driving
George Zobjick of 220 West First Street Woodstock was arrested last Saturday November 16 on charges of reckless driving and driving without a license. He had been warned by Chief Nelson at a Huntley tavern, and later said he doubted the chief would be around. Bond set at 200 dollars after transport to Woodstock. Hurley police cannot keep prisoners in the jail.

What Are We Voting For In McHenry County
On December 14 voters decide on a Community College district in McHenry County with a proposed 9 cent maximum educational tax rate and a 5 cent maximum building levy. A yes vote does not allow the college board to commence building. The 5 cent levy cannot raise the needed capital and the board cannot incur debts beyond the maximum levy.
