Huntley F.F.A. Slave Sale Raises Funds for Scholarships
The Huntley F.F.A. held its annual slave sale on November 7, 1968, netting 1060.61 with 40 youths sold. The sale averaged 21.38, higher than last year, and included donations and bake sale proceeds. Half the money funds the Vo-Ag Council scholarship program, the other half goes to the club treasury, auctioneer Howard Ruth noted.

The Huntley Lions sell Christmas trees in Main Street park from early December. The Huntley snow removal ordinance requires cars to move during two to six AM after two inches of snow. Veterans Day Observance Parade in Huntley Memorial Program
Veterans Day events in Huntley featured a parade from the high school to the American Legion Hall led by a combined Huntley American Legion and Legion Auxiliary color guard, firing squad, dignitaries, and school bands. Huntley Drops Season Finale to Earlville Raiders 18 14
Huntley lost its final game of the season to Earlville 18 to 14 ending any chance for a share of the Little Eight title as Hamp shire beat Hebron. Chuck Goehl connected with Barry Borchart for Huntley’s first score and later Borchart again on a pass to cut the deficit. Earlville answered with two early touchdowns and the Raiders added a late score to seal the win. Interceptions and fumbles hindered Huntley’s late rally.

Two Churches Unite High School Youth Groups
The Rev Father Day of St Marys and the Rev Robert L Frank of the First Congregational Church announce that from Sunday November 17 high school students of St Marys will join the First Congregational youths in regular participation.
