Huntley High School hosted a Homecoming Dance on October 28 with US from Woodstock providing music and a large turnout from the class of 72. The next day Huntley crushed Hebron 42 0 on their home field as Dave Hoppmann directed a decisive offense and Larry Delaney added the extra point.

The Huntley Homecoming Parade began at 10 00 A M with the Color Guard displaying the flag followed by Huntley High School band. Football players managers and coaches rode a firetruck as they led the procession through town.

Police Car Involved In Accident At Reed Road Intersection
Huntley Police Squad car was northbound on Rt. 47 at 7 40 a m when a German shepherd ran into the lane. Officer David R Stipek veered and was struck on the driver side by a Woodstock driver Terry Kox. Kox said he followed vehicle 2 and attempted to avoid the animal. Continued on back page.

Veterans Day Parade Observance in Huntley
Citizens of Huntley are invited to join a Veterans Day parade on Saturday November 11 led by Commander Bob Schultz Post 673. Participants meet at 10:30 am at the grade school, with the march starting at 10:40 past the American Legion Hall followed by a program and plaque dedication at the Eternal Flame. The Rev Dr Robert Frank will speak and officials urge a strong patriotic display and dedication to world peace with honor.

Snake Dance for the Scribes by Kurt Habbley
A large group of students braved rain for the Snake Dance with a parade along Lincoln and Main Streets to the square. The pep session at Grade School followed, featuring speeches by selected students and coaches, with awards for most spirit and most spark during Homecoming Week. Pizza and coke concluded the event at the Grade School cafeteria.
