Freund Equipment marks its tenth anniversary with an Open House and Round-Up Auction on April 6. Since starting in Huntley the IH dealership has grown to be the third largest in the central region across three states, offering four major lines: agriculture, industrial, trucks and outdoor power equipment.
A Huntley library committee conducts a town census this week with a March 29 meeting at the Junior High Library to review results and the Northern Illinois Library System proposal. A menu runs March 29 to April 2 with daily meals and dismissals at 12:00 noon on Friday.
Smiling Hikers Walk-a-thon completed on March 20 with 11 youths and 3 adults hiking about 1 mile to Rutland Forest Preserve. Fourteen hikers listed include Rick Geerlitz and Steve Grechis among others. funds raised go to Blackhawk Area Council.
Public invited to a meet the candidates event on April 8 at 7 30 p m at the First Congregational Church. All candidates may speak and discuss education budgets and teachers. Local residents informed their votes affect over 1 60 000 in community education funds and school district leadership.
