PMA Proposes Chicago Milk Market Changes
Midwest dairy leaders and PMA outline three major changes to the Chicago milk market order. A May 9 hearing by the U S Department of Agriculture will study proposals affecting price formation, location differentials, and dealer accounting from butterfat to skim milk and butterfat, potentially raising Class I prices.
