Huntley School Board Proposes New High School Shop
Last Friday the Huntley School Board explained plans for a new south of multi purpose room shop building. Phase I includes two classrooms and an agricultural woodworking shop with a future expansion path and storage space. Funding comes from this year's Building Fund to avoid higher taxes while adding space and potential later gym and classrooms.

Regular Huntley Park Board Meeting Minutes July 1969
The Huntley Park District held its regular meeting July 93 1969 at 8 00 p m with President and commissioners present. The minutes were approved. Treasurer reported June 1 1969 balance 5019 66 with two deposits 10450 bills totaling 2269 33 leaving 13199 72. Kane County Treasurer sent 300 to be deposited. Annual treasurer audit for May 1 1968 through April 30 1969 presented and approved.

Huntley 4-H Fair Winners To Be Photographed Sunday
Huntley 4-H members and area youths collect top awards at the McHenry County Fair. The paper will publish champion and grand champion winners and a full class results list. On Sunday August 3 at noon photos will be taken of the champion and grand champion winners.

Regular School Board Meeting July 23 1969
The regular meeting of School District No. 158 was held at the high school on July 23 1969. Present were Jirik Grau Bein Thrun and Mackeben with Bastian Stad ing Jr absent. Mary Ellen Rugg attended as a visitor. Minutes from July 9 were approved. A motion to replace five manual typewriters not to exceed 750 was approved. The meeting adjourned at 10 30 pm. McHenry County Fair Opens With 4-H Highlights and Stock Pavilion
The 2nd annual McHenry County Fair runs July 31 through August 3 featuring 1,227 4-H youth, over $10,198 in open class prize money, and events like rodeos on August 2, a 4-H King and Queen pageant, a Miss McHenry County Pageant, and the new Stock Pavilion for dairy and beef judging. Judy Rich Dairy Princess will headline exhibits with milk demonstrations, cheese tastings, and a county talent contest on August 3.
