Royals cope in close wins capture Tri County title
The 5th and 6th grade Royals closed the regular season with a 32-23 win over St Patrick of St Charles and a 49-15 victory at St Thomas More of Elgin to clinch the Tri County Conference title. Mike Lovins led with 13 points, Dave Schachtner had 18 in the latter game.

Redskins edge Genoa Kingston in conference clash
The Fresh Soph Redskins defeated Genoa Kingston Cogs 47 to 39 for their sixth straight conference win. County To Pay For Landfill Site Option Amid Budget Dispute
McHenry County Board approves a $5 000 option on land at 176 and 47 near Woodstock Marengo Crystal Lake and Huntley owned by Henry County. The deal, set Jan 19 1975 to Aug 15 1975, costs $715 000 with a $5 000 credit toward a $720 000 total. Landfill construction could not start before expiration of an agricultural lease Feb 28 1976. The option includes a legal land description and staged payments totaling $859 240.
