Judson McManigal of First National Bank Chicago spoke at the Livestock Feeders Association annual dinner in Woodstock. He noted only 800000 farmers produce 80 percent of America’s food and fiber, 3.9 percent of the population, and that in 1968 only 17 cents of the consumer dollar funded food while 83 cents bought cars and other items.
