The 118th Annual Meeting of the United Church of Christ Congregational was held after a noon fellowship meal on Sunday January 15. Two constitution changes were approved. 1967 officers were elected. reports for 1966 were issued in print. Huntley School Board Deliberates Tax Increase and Staffing

At a general Huntley School Music Boosters meeting the Legion Auxiliary discussed upcoming concerts and Awards Night. Plans include a February 11 concert by the high school chorus and bands with advance tickets, plus April 8 and April 28 events and May 6 Awards Night.

Grafton Township Board Adjourns After Local Inquiry
The Grafton Township Board met last Thursday January 12 approved minutes and bills then adjourned as citizens from the tri subdivision area questioned the Board of Local Improvements about a survey in Crystal Vista and Westmore Gardens. Kurian Mathew present said he could not disclose details and noted costs ranged from six to eighteen thousand dollars.

Ed Tax Increase Passes 202 to 93 in Local Vote
The education tax rate rose from 1.60 to 1.81 after a 202 yes and 93 no result. One ballot spoiled, totaling 296 votes cast. Earlier elections show lower turnout and mixed outcomes with 470 votes in 1964 defeating the measure and 235 to 2380 in another world issue.

Break-in at B and B Service Station Reported
Huntley police say the B and B Service Station was broken into between 10 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday. Entry was gained by a broken south side window, large enough to unlock the window from inside.
