Huntley Village Board Approves Land Purchase for Polishing Pond
The January 7, 1971 meeting of the Huntley village board approved minutes and treasurer report. Attorney Caldwell announced agreement to buy land east of town for a polishing pond at $22,235, part of the sewage plant's final treatment step before discharge. A prior pond serves Dean Milk and is visible from Grove Street near the railroad. the new pond fulfills state anti pollution requirements to prevent fines.
