Accident at Hemmer's Curve sends car tumbling seven times
McHenry County Sheriff reports a Tuesday January 10 crash on Hemmer's Curve blacktop at 2 30 p m. The car rolled seven times before stopping on its wheels at Harmony Road after traveling 240 feet and striking a road sign. Secar and a passenger were taken to Woodstock's County Memorial Hospital by the 3 O Conor Ambulance Service. Continued on page six.

Huntley Village Board Meets in January on Liquor License Plans
The Huntley Village Board held its regular meeting on January 5 with trustees Fitzi Staab Enstrom and Brill present. Absent were Ackman and Rudy. Leon Olhaber questioned a prospective Main Street restaurant's liquor license and the board noted a new ordinance may allow such licenses. Wally Leonard asked to convert from general tavern to club license citing motorcycle traffic as a deterrent to his business. Attorney Cowlin suggested Leonard could label the tavern as Members Only if needed and confirmed the new ordinance could accommodate clubs. Leonard's letter was recorded in the minutes and a rumor about the restaurant license was noted as CONTINUED ON PAGE SEVEN.
