Legion Auxiliary Welcomes Seven New Members in Candlelight
Seven new members joined the American Legion Auxiliary in a candlelight ceremony last Monday January 8 1962. About thirty people attended the event including 27 members and three guests. George Willis and Ronny Stading presented slides of last summer's carnivals and parades in Huntley Chicago and Denver as well as the Garden of the Gods in Colorado. Lois Hammond and Fern Enstrom hosted refreshments after the program.

Boy Scouts Winter Outing Ends Overnight in Huntley
Ten scouts and leader Barney Shott bundled into the Huntley cabin after heavy snow during a January 6 winter outing to Lake in the Hills. The group learned winter camping skills and called the trip a success despite plans at Lake in the Hills being ruined by snow.
