Pastor Harm Earns Doctorate at American Divinity School
The Rev. Frederick R. Harm, pastor of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Huntley, received the Doctor of Theology degree at American Divinity School in Maywood, Michigan, on January 29 1967. He will remain as theology instructor through February. The school, affiliated with the Evangelical Congregational Church in the U S, has 217 students and 14 faculty. Also earning doctorates were Rev Dr Elmer Pitelko Hillside Emmanuel Lutheran Rev Dr John Johnson Springfield Concordia Theological Seminary and Rev Dr August Bueltmann Cleveland Luther South High School.

March of Dimes canvass urged for birth defect research
Huntley police report that American Legion Junior Auxiliary members will canvass Huntley this week to raise funds for birth defect research. Jack Offenheiser says a disassembled motor and block were stolen from his car trunk at Jim's Citgo Service Station, suggesting intrusion via a key. Police note three strong people would be needed to lift the heavy motor without a hoist.

Skating Party Brings Huntley youths to Elgin rink
The First Congregational Church Sr. and Jr. P F groups hosted a roller skating party on Sunday February 4 inviting Jr Hi and Sr Hi youths. A total of 84 Huntley area youths traveled leaving at 6 30 p m for a three hour skating session. Twelve adults provided transportation and the Elgin managers praised the group for fine behavior and sportsmanship. Adult leaders sponsoring the Sr P F group are Mrs Kerrick and Ed Ream.
