Ten FFA members and advisor Mr. Kwain attended the Illinois Duroc Breeder's winter show in Normal on January 20, 1968. A judging contest featured four rings of breeding and market Durocs judged by over 200 boys. On January 25, two purebred Yorkshire sows were purchased, one for the chain gilt program and one to farrow mid February. one sow bred to the 1968 Iowa State Fair Junior Champion Boar.

Huntley Medical Center Holds Annual Meeting and Board Actions
The Huntley Medical Center held its seventh annual meeting at village hall with quorom and 360 voting shares represented. President Sarle B. Johnson presided as officials reported a January 24 balance of 134.05 and total expenses of 760.52. The board discussed paying a $6500 mortgage balance, considered a community auction and shareholder survey, and elected directors Earle B. Johnson Wayne Miller Walter Burmeister Richard Jacobs and William Buck. The new board formed January 27 appointed Walter Burmeister president and Wayne Miller as auction chairman. They plan a April 20 fundraising auction and a village doctor survey with Sears Foundation support. Advertising for building occupants will shift to Crystal Lake papers with Wayne Miller in charge. Next meeting February 10 at 10 a.m.
