Huntley Redskins stay unbeaten in conference with win over Richmond
Huntley defeated Richmond 87 to 62 to move to 7–1 on the season and 3–0 in the Little Eight. Enstrom led with 23 points, Weber had 21, Rasmusen 14, Zerbel 10, Harm 9, as the Redskins hit 60 percent from the field. JV team won 61–53 over Richmond.

Illinois Bell Reduces Rates and Tax Elimination Plan
Illinois Bell customers will save an estimated 49 million dollars in 1966 as the federal excise tax on telephone service is cut from 10 percent to 3 percent on January 1. Reductions continue in 1967 and 1968 with a full elimination in 1969. New night rates and all day weekend rates were introduced, and Unlimited 25 flat rate calling plans were offered starting August 1 for business and residential customers. Continued on Page 3.

Postmaster Recovers Car After Theft
Postmaster Richard Michaelsen recovered his car after a 15 year old runaway stole it from in front of the post office earlier this month and abandoned it in Chicago. Police say minimal damage occurred as the car was recovered by authorities at the Chicago Auto Claim Garage on Grand Avenue.

White Christmas Blizzards Halt Huntley Travel
On Friday evening December 24 a blizzard with drifting snow left Huntley roads impassable. Many motorists were stranded and a car from DeKalb skidded into a snow bank. An engaged couple found shelter at a local residence as a recovered vehicle was moved. Several Christmas packages disappeared from the scene adding a somber note to the episode.
