Huntley Illinois Bell customers will gain a large toll free calling area including Elgin Woodstock Algonquin Crystal Lake East Dundee West Dundee Carpentersville Hampshire Plato Center Union and more. The ICC approved the plan January 13 1965 and a July 13 effective date will end per call charges with a single monthly fee.

Three Huntley Students Win State Scholarships
The Illinois State Scholarship Commission announced 1966-67 winners led by Huntley High School with Ann L. Barhart Sandra S. Kerrick and Stanley Korwis named among finalists. A total of 9,940 scholars were selected from 32,800 seniors, with eight eight percent of Illinois high schools producing winners. Awards apply to approved in state colleges only.
