Huntley Athletic Banquet Honors 1963-64 season
The Huntley Elementary High School annual athletic banquet was held April 14 at the Huntley Fire Barn with about 250 attendees. Lions Club sponsored, Ray Meyer DePaul coach spoke, and Larry Rasmussen received Most Valuable Player honors with other awardees named across basketball football and track.

Huntley Hosts County Firemen Meeting
Huntley firemen welcomed county colleagues at the Huntley Fire Barn on Monday night April 20 with guests from Elgin Dundee Burlington and Hampshire. John Ainley of the American Petroleum Institute spoke on petroleum product handling safety and hazards. Officers for the coming year were re elected: President Edward Piske Vice President Walter Carlson Secretary Treasurer Lyle Sorensen and Sergeant at Arms John Benton.

Huntley Harvesters 4-H April Meeting Held
The Huntley Harvesters 4-H Club met at Village Hall last Thursday. The group reviewed the Share the Fun activity and heard that Craig Johnson will represent the club at the state 4-H week in June at the University of Illinois. Small group meetings will begin in May to work on projects. Refreshments were provided by the Ketchmark, Johnson and Priegnitz families.

The April meeting at Village Hall had 23 members. Pledges and roll call occurred with safety tips shared. Shares the Fun success noted, and baby sitting training discussed. Representatives to State Week chosen. Talks covered hemming table covers and a fruit salad demo. The meeting closed with refreshments.

Students to Hold Mock Political Convention
McHenry County will stage a student Mock Political Convention at Marian Central High School Woodstock on May 1 and 2 for high school students from all county schools. More than two thousand students are expected to participate with six hundred thirty-five continuing on page three.

Huntley Farmside to crown Mother of the Year on May 10
The Huntley Farmside announces its Mother of the Year contest for residents of the Hamley School District to be judged by reader letters. Nominations must be 300 words or less, signed, and received by 5 p.m. May 5. The winner will receive prizes from local merchants and a framed inscription.

Post Prom Plans Set for Huntley High School Event
Final plans for Huntley High School post prom party on May 9 at the Fire Barn include a turkey dinner after the prom and a 4 piece band from Belvidere providing music from 12 30 a m to 3 30 a m. The event runs until 4 00 a m with activities and a light breakfast. Adults supervise minimally to allow students to enjoy a townless after prom night.
