A memo from LeRoy Marks and Glen Delaney invites parents to have their son or daughter honored at the Lions Club Annual Athletic Banquet on April 27 at 7 p.m. Dinner is provided, a roast beef dinner priced at 3 for adults and 1.75 for students, with tickets to be purchased via a sign up form.
Art Keller of Carthage College will headline the athletic banquet at Firebarn on April 27 at 7 00 PM. Keller, head football coach and athletic director since 1952, boasts a 118 win coaching record over 19 collegiate seasons. Continued on Page Three.

The McHenry County N F O will hold its annual dance on Saturday April 17 at 8 30 P M at the Huntley American Legion Home Music by Bob Meeling One steer and one pig will be given away Tickets for the dance and the pig and steer may be purchased from any N F O member or at the door
The annual township meeting, held April 13 at the township garage, elected Oliver Field as moderator by unanimous vote. The minutes from the prior meeting were approved, and the tentative budget and appropriation ordinance were read with electors unable to act but allowed to suggest changes. No recommendations were made and the agenda proceeded to the annual township meeting.
April 12 school board meeting conducted with seven members present and one absent. Election canvas showed 78 votes for trustees Ernest Stading Jr George Adams Dr Gary Gray Robert Frank Alfred Jordi Donald Hardy and Wayne Petersen with selections confirmed for 3 year terms. Meeting adjourned after organizing the new Board of Education for the coming year.
The Late April Fools show arrives May 1 at 8 p m in Huntley Grade School with two one act plays Half Pint Windom Rides West and Who dunit A western comedy and a mystery comedy feature a cast including a rich uncle a grandmother a young heroine a poor boyfriend a housekeeper a butler and a sinister stranger Tickets cost 1 50 for adults and 75 cents for children Proceeds support the local event and promise family friendly fun
The Village of Huntley sponsors the Third Annual Pancake Day this Sunday April 18 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Huntley Fire Barn. Menu includes sausages eggs pancakes orange juice and coffee. Children 75 cents adults 1.50 for breakfast and dinner.
