Unofficial returns from last Saturday April 9 show Miss Ida Mackeben 95 votes and Wayne Zimmerman 94 votes for the two full terms on the Board of Education District 158. One write-in vote was given to Dr. Gary Gray. Both Mackeben and Zimmerman are incumbents.

Subdivision Plans Boosted and Blocked at McHenry County Meeting
At the McHenry County Board of Supervisors April session two subdivisions were approved while one was blocked. Howard Ruth of Grafton Township objected to Coleen's Cote north of Huntley over bog and marsh land and questioned housing plans. Hillcrest View in Hartland and Bridle Path Estates in Burton were approved. The St Patricks Catholic Cemetery in Nunda Township was rejected as it could lower nearby property values.

UCC Organ Construction Underway in Huntley Church

Invitations for Huntley High School Post Prom Party go to all juniors and seniors as the April 30 Prom nears. Tickets start April 15 from Junior Class members and admit only those with tickets. The party runs at the Fire Barn with a 11:45 p.m. gate close and no re admission once exited.
