Huntley bowling team Kiley Cities Service earned first prize at the E B A tournament in Lake Zurich spanning Jan 30 to Feb 28. Members Janigy Mattingly Roger Cole Ray Ki Paul Miller and Don Tessmer received individual trophies. Roger Cole placed third in singles and eighth in all events. doubles duo Cole Kubis finished fourth. Kubis sixth in all events. Mattingly 20th in all events. James Mattingly earned a special trophy from his wife for a 677 series.

Illinois Bell reduces long distance rates effective April 1, following a February cut. The 3 minute station rate Chicago to any US destination drops from 2.10 to 1.90 with further reductions from 5 to 20 cents for calls over 60 miles crossing state lines during daytime hours. Savings total over 7 million dollars yearly for Illinois customers.

The Huntley FFA chapter held officer elections on April 1 after a pre election primary where nine candidates presided over three minute meetings. Top two vote earners advanced to each office, producing officers Larry Ket chmark president Lonnie Nillerman vice president Larry Al brecht secretary Vernon Tin berg treasurer Chuck Ruth reporter and Stan Hafferkamp sentinel. Annual Grafton Town Board Meeting
The Annual Meeting of the Grafton Board of Auditors was held on Tuesday evening April 6 at the Grafton Township Garage near Huntley with over 230 electors present. Clerk Richard Enstrom opened the meeting and led thanks to attendees for their turnout and township election votes. Henry Marlowe was unanimously elected Moderator after nominations by Victor Barcroft and Howard Ruth. He recalled the 1960 meeting where only five electors attended and praised current interest in township government. Minutes of the 1964 meeting were read and approved as read. Village Board Discusses Bakley Subdivision and Water Bills
