Burmaster, a former all state guard from Elgin who played four years at the University of Illinois, captained the 1948 team and earned MVP honors. He twice won the Rolf Woods Memorial Trophy for best free throw percentage. He played three years of professional basketball after college.
The PTA show Early April Fools attracted 600 attendees raising 1385.50 for new books. Librarian Mr Bennett thanked donors and volunteers including Mr Murphy, Mr De, Bob Tirk, the American Legion, and the Huntley community for staging, printing, lighting, publicity, and support.

The Huntley School Board met March 27 with full membership and teachers present requesting an executive session, which was refused under open meeting rules. The board approved a disaster plan, Title II funds of 1163.09 for the high school library, extended Easter vacation to April 16 19 and Good Friday, and discussed an inter-mural athletics program.
The annual Mother Daughter Banquet will be held at the First Congregational Church on Saturday April 27 at 7 00 PM.
Police Chief Richard Nelson reports Randy Behrens ten of 344 North Church Street injured on the arm by a firecracker thrown last Saturday afternoon at 6 30 p m at Trinity Lutheran Church. Nelson notes many firecrackers circulating in Huntley stolen from a fireworks plant and urges parents to turn in any contraband found with their child.
The N.F.O. sponsors a dance at the American Legion Home Huntley this Saturday evening April 6 starting at 9 PM. Music by the Bot Moehling Orchestra. Open to the public. Tickets from N.F.O. members or at the door. For more information call Max Bundgard or Jim Schultz.
Huntley civil defense director Percy Swanson urges calm and planned action during disasters. A test of the warning siren will occur Tuesday April 9 at 7 30 a m with radios and television to receive emergency information.
The Ameridth Legion Auxiliary hosts a Veterans Craft and Bake Sale at the Legion Home on Saturday April 20. Proceeds support veteran programs and local community services.
All boys interested in playing baseball this summer on the Min or League and Little League team must sign up with Mr Donald Enstrom at the American Legion Home this Saturday April 6 1968.
Huntley firemen extinguished two grass fires on Monday. The first occurred at 3 p.m. west of town one mile out on the Marengo blacktop. Later crews watched a second blaze east of town and allowed the field to burn off.
