Giant Catfish Brought In From White River
A fishing party including Louis P Chackes Josepht and Robert Egg returned from High Rock in Boone township to Jasper with a colossal catfish. In Joseph’s car they displayed a six-pound fish weighing fifty six pounds, four feet long and thirty two inches around. The head measured twenty six inches behind the eyes and the mouth spanned nine inches. The top fin measured five inches by five inches with a six and one half inch spread, and the tail spread was fourteen inches.
