Charles A. Buchanan an old resident of Lucas and Keokuk counties Iowa died Tuesday at 2 30 a m at his son's home in Humeston after about four years of ill health and a recent paralytic attack He was born near Terre Haute Indiana on April 1 1836 and moved across Iowa settling in Lucas Keokuk and Wayne counties before ending in Cambria and Humeston He married Emaline Davis in Lancaster in 186? Eight children were born to the union five survive: James of Leroy C E of Humeston J R of Leon Vivian and Mrs Ona Stevens of Humeston Funeral services were at the Christian church conducted by Rev G B Brown with burial in Cambria cemetery The community offers sympathy to the family
