Civil War Veteran George L. Eaton Dies in Ottumwa
George L. Eaton a pioneer Ottumwa resident and veteran of the 86th New Hampshire Infantry died at his home 322 South Davis Street Ottumwa aged seventy seven. He is survived by ten children and his wife had died in 1908. Funeral services will be held at his residence with Rev Jonathan Lee and music by Rev and Mrs O H Overholser. Burial at Melrose with pallbearers from the J M Tuttle Post G A R. The article also reports Burlington shows gains in earnings with net earnings up by 5 455 000 and dividends 17 53 percent on capital stock for the year ending June 30 1913.
