Fourth of July plans and local celebrations in Corydon

Minnie Woodhead of Pine City Mine former Jefferson resident holds extensive Red Cross Home Service days. Since July 15 to January 15 she logged about eighteen months of work averaging seven hours daily including Sundays, knitting 75 pounds of yarn into 102 helmets 21 sweaters 40 trench caps 117 pairs of socks 145 afghan squares and 12 hospital sponges. She received a commendation from Red Cross headquarters and a bulletin feature.
