Brakeman Meck Killed By Train In Sidetrack Accident
Brakeman Meck was struck and killed when a train passed over him while he was working on a sidetrack. The body was moved to Centerville and later to Humeston for burial. Funeral services were at the Christian church conducted by Fidelity Lodge with Rev. Orr Campbell preaching. about thirty railroad men and their wives attended. Interment followed at Humeston cemetery. He leaves two children and relatives including Mrs J C Mink and Henry Meck.
