Hameston Soldier Albert B Anderson Killed in France
Private Albert B Anderson 26 native of Sweden and Hameston left Camp Dodge February 25 and was killed in action in France July 21. He served in Co C 119th infantry and was among several Hameston youths honored at a farewell dinner. Survived by parents and brother Leif, he wrote a cheerful letter from France before his death.

Fire at Greenlee farm destroys barn and horses
A large barn on the O. O. Greenlee farm one mile north of Lineville burned last Saturday night. The fire caused about 3000 dollars in loss with 1300 dollars insured. Three horses perished in the blaze.

Moreover, several named men depart Wednesday for Camp Forest Georgia for military service.
