City records show 2502 buildings with 18728 dwelling units in Mont Clare Belmont Cragin Hermosa Logan Square Humboldt Park Austin and West Garfield Park reached full or partial compliance with guiding grid housing code from June 1 1966 to June 14 1967. Since Jan 1 1967 partial or full compliance was achieved in 1284 buildings with 8051 units, compared with 1218 buildings and 19577 units in the latter half of 1966. Doll Benefit Dinner Aims to Help Police Officer’s Family

Up to 1000 people expected at the Chateau Royale in Chicago for a testimonial dinner honoring late Officer Gerald Doll. Sponsored by the Austin Business Council the event seeks funds for a down payment on a home for Doll’s widow and five children. Tickets eight dollars to ten dollars sold by ABC members and at the door. The benefit starts at 6:30 pm with Sgt Art Ferando selling to policemen citywide.
