Elmhurst Avenue land row drags as city eyes offer and court path
Elmhurst Avenue dispute with Buske stalls over access and an $8,000 assessment as Humboldt City Council debates another offer. Assistant City Attorney Stoebe says settlement depends on Buske retaining land in two parcels, with condemnation looming after repeated negotiations. Meanwhile, bridge work on Sumner Avenue faces winter delay and a new June deadline. The council also approves a Revco cigarette permit and a weed‑spraying contract with the county.
