Obituary of Thelma Bloom Former Renwick resident dies at 79
Thelma M. Bloom, 79, formerly of Renwick, died Tuesday at Humboldt Care Center South. Funeral services were Friday at 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church Renwick with Rev. Gerald Armstrong officiating. Burial followed in Vernon Township Cemetery. Surviving is brother Earl Norder of Phoenix Arizona. Born February 11 1904 in Renwick daughter of Henry and Mary Norder she graduated from Mankato Business College and worked at a Renwick garage. She married Henry J. Bloom on August 9 1941 in Arnolds Park. he died in 1977. She remained in Renwick until moving to the care center and was a longtime United Methodist Church member.

Mrs Etta Underberg 91 of Bode died Tuesday night at Humboldt County Memorial Hospital Funeral services were held Thursday at St Olaf Lutheran Church Bode with Rev Naig officiating Burial followed at the church cemetery Survivors include sons Kenneth Livermore Joseph Fort Dodge Irwin Eagle Grove George Santa Monica Calif daughters Mrs Robert Ida Foley Livermore Mrs Dwayne Lillie Benge Bradgate Mrs Robert Helen Pfaff Evanston Ill two step children Mrs Marie Olson Bede and Ted Underberg Fort Dodge 25 grandchildren 21 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren She was born October 24 1891 in Carpio ND She married Carl Underberg 67 years ago and they farmed in the Bode and Livermore area He died in 1960 She lived in Eagle Grove and later moved to Bode Manor She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary the Bode Senior Citizens and St Olaf Church.

Memorial rites for Henry A. Marty held in La Verne
Henry A. Marty 90 of La Verne was honored at a 7 30 p m service at the United Methodist Church La Verne with Rev Marcus Berbano officiating. His body was donated to the University of Iowa Medical School and burial will follow later. Surviving are his wife Dorothy two sons and four daughters plus 17 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Marty born September 23 1892 in La Verne lived there all his life and served in World War I. He married Dorothy Merkle in 1927 and farmed until retirement in 1959.

Albert Ellingson dies at 74 in Owatonna funeral held
Albert Ellingson 74, former Ottosen resident and rural farmer, died Tuesday in Owatonna Minnesota of a heart attack. Funeral services were March 18 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna. He is survived by wife Nellie, a daughter Janelle Matzke, three grandchildren, three step sisters, and siblings Melvin Elmer Martha. He was born July 31, 1908 in Ottosen and married Nellie Helegeson in 1942. He farmed at Rutland and West Concord before moving to Owatonna to work at Gandy Company for 15 years.

Graveside services were held Friday at 1 30 p m at North Lawn Cemetery Fort Dodge Lindhart Funeral Home directed. He was born March 26 1912 at Rockwell City to George and Eva Smith Dellinger and later lived in Algona Clarion Fort Dodge and Ames where he worked as a baker retiring in 1977. He married Lucile Trible in 1935 at Algona and the couple resided in Dakota City. He was a United Methodist Church member in Humboldt.
