Humboldt County Board approves 500 wage hikes for officials
The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors, following the Compensation Board’s recommendation, approved $500 across the board raises for six county officials and five supervisors. Gary Kuehnast voted against, citing concerns over the token nature of the rise. Salaries for 1982 83 would adjust to Auditor Treasurer Clerk of Court and Recorder 17314 53. Sheriff 62072480. County Attorney 17743168. and Supervisors at 10050 60. The vote reflected mixed opinion on raises while non elected courthouse staff see impacts via deputy pay scales. In other business, Matron Becky Andersen received a $5 hourly increase for additional duties including child abuse investigations, with duties extending beyond regular matron duties. The board also set open house dates for the old jail and LEC and approved plans and contract actions related to the new jail and road work, plus a snow dumping ordinance amendment and other routine items.
